Italy Office
Our Italy office strengthens our presence in the central Mediterranean, providing strategic access to Italy’s busiest commercial ports and ship repair hubs. Situated near key maritime routes and supported by a deep-rooted shipping tradition, the office is ideally positioned to serve marine underwriters, shipowners, and P&I Clubs across Italy, the South of France, Monaco, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Malta and Tunisia.
The office is led by our Senior Surveyor Giacomo Catalano and assisted by Matthew Byrne and Rodolfo Galloni. Giacomo brings over two decades of international experience in marine engineering, classification, and casualty investigation. After successfully serving in our Buenos Aires office, Giacomo has returned to Italy to establish and head our operations in Italy, with presence in Naples and Palermo, offering clients in the region direct access to his extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of both H&M and P&I matters.
